Careers At Ace Electrics

Looking For More Than Just Your Next Electrical Job?

The people we bring into Ace matter.

We're building a team of electricians, apprentices and support staff who care about doing good work, treating people well and taking responsibility for what they do.

If that's how you like to work too, we'd like to hear from you.

Life at Ace Electrics

What Is It Like Working At Ace?

We're serious about building a good electrical company.

That means having high expectations — of the work we produce, how we communicate, how we treat customers and how we work with each other.

But expectations need to work both ways.

We want to give people the support, training and opportunity they need to develop and do good work.

The goal is for Ace to be somewhere good people can build a career, not simply somewhere they work until the next opportunity comes along.

The Ace Standard

Trust. Attitude. Reputation.

These values aren't only about how we treat customers.

They're also about how we work together.

01

Trust

Do what you say you're going to do.

Be honest when you've made a mistake. Ask when you're unsure. Communicate before something becomes a problem.

02

Attitude

How you approach the job matters.

Turn up ready to contribute. Respect your teammates, customers and other trades. Look for solutions rather than excuses.

03

Reputation

Take pride in putting your name behind the work.

Every job reflects on the person who completed it, the people working alongside them and Ace as a whole.

We Want Good People. Not Just Good Electricians.

Technical ability matters.

But so do reliability, attitude and the willingness to keep improving.

We're looking for people who:

You don't need to know everything.

You do need to want to get better.

  • Take pride in their work
  • Are reliable
  • Communicate well
  • Take responsibility
  • Treat customers and teammates with respect
  • Work well with others
  • Want to keep learning
  • Ask questions when they're unsure
  • Help the people around them improve
  • Care about the finished result

Qualified Electricians

Be Trusted To Do Good Work.

Experienced electricians should have the opportunity to use their judgement, develop their skills and take ownership of their work.

Ace works across residential, commercial, construction, servicing and maintenance, industrial, heat pumps and air conditioning, solar and other specialist electrical areas.

That creates opportunities to develop in different directions as your career progresses.

Being a good tradesperson is about more than the technical work.

Communication, organisation, problem solving, customer relationships and taking responsibility for the finished job matter too.

Electrical Apprenticeships

Learn The Trade Properly.

An apprenticeship isn't cheap labour. It's training for a career.

We take developing apprentices seriously because the habits you build during your apprenticeship can stay with you for the rest of your working life.

Our apprentices work alongside experienced electricians while developing their:

  • Technical knowledge
  • Practical skills
  • Workmanship
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Communication
  • Judgement
  • Confidence

As your capability grows, so does the responsibility you're given.

The objective isn't simply to get you through your qualification.

It's to help you become the kind of electrician other people trust to do the job properly.

You'll Work Alongside Experienced Electricians

We don't believe apprentices should be expected to figure everything out alone.

Working alongside experienced tradespeople gives you the opportunity to ask questions, understand why things are done a particular way and see different approaches to solving problems.

You'll also learn the parts of the trade that aren't always written in a textbook:

  • How to deal with customers.
  • How to organise a job.
  • How to recognise when something doesn't look right.
  • When to ask for help.
  • And how to complete work you're proud to put your name behind.

You still need to put the effort in. We'll provide the environment to learn.

More Than One Career Path

Electrical is a broad industry, and your career doesn't necessarily have to follow one path.

Depending on your skills, interests and opportunities within Ace, you may gain experience across areas such as:

  • Residential electrical
  • Commercial electrical
  • Servicing and fault finding
  • Construction
  • Industrial electrical
  • Heat pumps and air conditioning
  • Solar
  • EV charging
  • Data and security
  • Estimating
  • Project coordination
  • Leadership

We can't promise where every career will lead.

But as Ace grows, we want good people to have opportunities to grow with it.

What Can You Expect From Ace?

If we're asking good people to meet a high standard, we have a responsibility to create an environment where they can succeed.

You can expect:

We won't pretend every day will be perfect.

But we do want Ace to be a place where good people can do good work and continue developing.

  • Clear expectations
  • Support from the wider team
  • Proper training and development
  • Opportunities to learn
  • Exposure to different types of electrical work
  • Increasing responsibility as your capability develops
  • A workplace where quality matters
  • A company that wants to keep improving

Not Looking Right Now?

We'd Still Like To Hear From Good People.

We may not always have a position advertised that suits you.

That doesn't mean you can't introduce yourself.

If you like the way Ace approaches the trade and think you'd be a good fit for the team, send us your details and tell us a little about yourself.
